Position Summary
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for hands-on assembly of RagnarTech’s 9400/9700 Series grinders and related heavy equipment. This role focuses on structural, mechanical, and powertrain assembly, ensuring machines meet engineering specifications, safety standards, and production quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble major mechanical components including frames, conveyors, rotor housings, feed systems, and guarding
- Install diesel engines, radiators, coolers, and powertrain components
- Align rotating assemblies, set bearing preload, and verify torque specifications
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, and work instructions
- Support functional testing of mechanical systems prior to final quality control
- Collaborate with Engineering to resolve build issues and support continuous improvement
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience assembling heavy equipment, including forestry, recycling, construction, or mobile machinery
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in a manufacturing environment
